America’s western frontier inspires me; your reading pleasure drives me. I’ve had twenty-one books published and have another five completed and scheduled for release. When not in my home office, I can be found at coffee houses pounding my laptop keys while channeling my inner cowboy and letting my creative juices flow. I also write history-based articles for western-themed magazines; short stories for anthologies; and give talks to veteran, business, and children’s groups. I take pride in having walked the very trails upon which I place my characters. I’m a retired business executive, entrepreneur, private equity investor, educator, and community advocate who turned in retirement to a new career authoring western genre fiction. I’m a member of Western Writers of America and the Western Fictioneers plus belong to a handful of writer groups. I hold BA and MBA degrees, but those really don’t matter all that much in the scheme of things these days. I have a loving wife, two happily-married sons, and two wonderful grandchildren all residing here in the idyllic rolling hills of south-central Pennsylvania (near Gettysburg). I’m a lover of what I call “westernisms,” folksy quotes that I sprinkle throughout my writings as appropriate. Westernisms like “never squat with your spurs on,” or “he’s so tight, his shoes squeak,” or “he’s so tough he’ll fight a nest of rattlesnakes and spot them first bite” serve to add a touch of wit and whimsy to my authoring. At times, they serve as a window to a character’s very essence. I invite you to open your soul to western adventure with my Frontier Chronicles and Tumbleweed Sagas, as well as the sequel series.
