FRONTIER CHRONICLES

My Frontier Chronicles young adult novels are published by Wise Wolf Books, an imprint of Wolfpack Publishing. Their featured theme is boys becoming men within the intersection of faith and culture. It’s my mission to familiarize teens and young adults with life issues within the chronicling of the adventurous life of teen Jack O’toole on America’s western frontier of the late 1850s. Young O’Toole’s Texas homestead on the dangerous Comancheria is attacked by Comanches. His parents and a brother and sister are killed, but another brother and a sister are taken captive. Jack ventures into the frontier carrying anger and vengeance as well as the guilt of having survived while most of his family perished all as juxtaposed with his faith. As he makes friends with a Comanche youth and finds a mentor with a Black cowboy and former slave, he is determined to depend on instinct and faith to survive his circumstances. Jack takes on dangerous adventures and discovers that those who won’t stand up for themselves and face life challenges become men who won’t stand up to anything.
